Prof. Dr. Gunay Kirkim Profile

After graduating from Ege University, Faculty of Pharmacy, between 1976 and February 1981, she started to work at the Izmir faculty of Medicine ENT Department-Audiology unit, in September 1981. Prof. Gunay Kirkim continued his duty at Dokuz Eylül University in 1982. Prof. Kirkim completed Master degree at Dokuz Eylül University ENT Department-Audiology Unit in 1986, in January 2003 Prof. Kirkim completed Ph.D. program at Marmara University ENT Department-Hearing and speech Department in Istanbul. Prof. Kirkim received Associate Professor of Audiology in 2010, after that she started to work in DEU School of Health Service. Prof. Kirkim appointed as a Prof. title at 2015. In 2014 Prof. Kirkim worked as an assistant director of DEU School of Health Service, then she became Deputy Director in 2015 for 7 months. Prof. Kirkim is Head of Audiometry Program, DEU School of Health Service Board, Board Member. She participated in many national and international congresses, symposiums and courses. She has published works in national and international journals. She takes part in master and Ph.D. education and she is a consultant for the thesis of master and Ph.D. students. She is a member of DEU Coordination of Disabled Office and has been working since 2009. Prof. Kirkim was appointed as the Head of Audiology Department of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Dokuz Eylül University, which was founded in 2017. She also continues her duty in ENT Department-Audiology unit which is started.
